It’s all about building—castles and relationships.

Springboard Public Relations helps coordinate the NJ Sandcastle Contest each year, yes—to give others the opportunity get creative and build some funky sculptures, but also to unite local towns and beachgoers. 

A free, fun-filled day at the beach encourages families to spend a summer day together. It gives NJ day camps the opportunity to step outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. It provides creative works of art for visitors to view and most importantly, it invites individuals of all ages to sand up and have a little fun.

Every organization should have a community relations initiative for the pure purpose of giving back.  Over the years at Springboard, we have supported many local organizations in a variety of areas. For the 12th year, we have helped coordinate the NJ Sandcastle Contest, made possible by D’Jais Beachcomber Bar & Grill and Belmar Tourism.

The 2010 contest, to be held on Wednesday, July 14th at 18th Avenue Beach in Belmar, is a free event and open to participants of all ages. Registration and building begin at 8 am until 12 pm. Judging takes place from 12 to 1 pm followed by an awards ceremony.

Aside from lead sponsor D’Jais, a wide variety of businesses have supported the event.  Whole Foods Market is donating water and Herr’s, UTZ and Pirate Brands have agreed to contribute snacks for the event. Six Flags Great Adventure along with Foodtown, The Circus Drive-in, The Styling Company, Belmar Parasail, Belmar Beach, Stop and Shop, Twinbrook Golf, Surf Taco, Pro Skateboard Shop, Mike’s Giant Subs, FINS, Windmill, Seaglass Dreams, Teddy Bears by the Seashore, Gymboree, Jonnie-G’s, Gianni’s Pizzeria and Taylor’s Hardware have contributed items for prize packages awarded at the event. B&B Trophies of Manasquan is the official award sponsor, providing the NJ Sandcastle Contest with trophies for the second year in a row.
