Socializing Your Content

Social media is all the rage but how do you harness it? As a content publisher or brand, you must equip your audience with "social" tools to promote your message, product or service.

  • Can they watch a video and pass it on to their friends?
  • Can they quickly share your content with their friends on Twitter, Facebook or other social platform?
  • Does your Web site or blog utilize commenting functionality to provoke discussions?

These are just a few of the socializing capabilities or "tools of engagement" that allow others to take your content and get the conversation started.

Utilizing social media is not rocket science, nor does it require a huge budget to get started.  Depending on your business or personal goals, so much can be achieved by creating Flickr account, jumping on Twitter, or posting a video on YouTube.

Join the conversation and then share your content, ideas and thoughts with others.

Remember, it’s less about what YOU say and more about what PEOPLE say about you. If you provide the tools, “they will come,” and your message will be in the best position to be socialized.

This is a very good write-up. Social media is a tool that should be embraced by all organizations. Bravo, Domenick.
